The organization was started to address various challenges facing war victims in the post conflict region of Northern Uganda. These include:

 

The majority of war victims were never properly welcomed at home by their closest relatives, including their parents in some cases. As a result, they do not have homes. Many of them decided to remain in town where they are renting houses. Unfortunately, many are unable to raise money to pay their rent. As a result, they are never stable in one place, So, they are looking for whoever can assist to help them with funds for livelihood projects. For example, money to help them in agricultural activities such as for cultivation, buying and selling produce, and capital to do businesses so that they can raise their financial status.
